Greetings Sherman Families & Teachers!!!
We can’t believe school starts next WEEK!!! Thank you for helping us get a jump-start on the school year planning by filling out this short survey from the Sherman PTO! Looking forward to a fun year!
Couple of updates:
*Class Lists: Class lists were posted by the school entrance on Friday, August 31st. For everyone’s convenience, we also posted them on our Facebook page.
*School begins on Tuesday, Sept. 4th. The earliest drop off time permitted is 8:20am – there is no supervision on the school grounds prior to that time
-The bell rings at 8:35am
All students will meet in the back school yard where they will line up by grade for their classrooms- Parents are able to accompany their child for the first week only.
*After the first week, if you are dropping your child off, please enter the parking lot and proceed to the drop off area. Please keep this line moving, If you wish to wait and watch your child walk into the back -please park and walk your child to the grounds.
*For your child’s safety: Dogs are not permitted on the grounds, Smoking is prohibited and parents are asked to remain in the front of the school.
*There is staff in the back school yard beginning at 8:20 am, please do not drop your child off prior to that time as there will be no supervision until 8:20 am
*Open House will be held at the end of September, more information to come on Date/time/agenda
*PTO meeting date TBA – please fill out the short planning survey to help us get a jump start on the school year!
Please note- attending PTO meetings is NOT mandatory to participate in the PTO! We send out correspondence via email and social media and flyers home as well. We hope you will think about helping out this year and helping to make the 2018-19 school year a great one!
